Matter admin involves a lot of back-and-forth with fellow fee earners and business management colleagues. Tracking that across email and Teams is a pain - that’s why we centralise that in ayora.
Comments: introduction
All timekeepers can comment on their matters, creating an easy-to-find thread. Share instructions, questions and more with your colleagues.
Ayora flags are also visible in the comments section.
Comments are also visible to your business colleagues associated with your department.
Accessing the comments sidebar
To access the sidebar, head to the Dashboard and click on the arrow icon next to the matter’s name. That opens a sidebar on the right hand side of the screen.
Tagging and notifications
You can tag a colleague in a comment by adding ‘@‘ before typing their name. When you tag someone, they will:
- receive an in-app notification, and
- an email alert from ayora. To minimise email traffic, ayora batches together all instances of a user being tagged and sends a consolidated tag activity report at 4pm. This way, users receive maximum 1 email a day from us.
If you tag someone who is not a timekeeper on the given matter, they will not be able to access the comment.
Instead of typing ‘@‘, you can also click on the ➕ icon underneath the text input box in the sidebar. That will open a selection pane that lists all matter timekeepers, together with their individual time contributions to the matte
Displaying comments as a column
In the Dashboard tab, you can add a Last Comment column. That handily displays the last comment on each matter, making it easy to quickly see the latest activity.
